En helt ignnem fantastisk portvin her 50 år gammel. Kommer direkte fra Symmingtons mørke kælder i O'Porto.
Et brag af en portvin og den helt rigtige gave eller overraskelse her 60 år gammel.
A Gaia bottling, with light-medium scarlet color and bricking on the edge. Slightly more advanced than the Dow's 1966 in this tasting. Sinful scents of milk chocolate, raisins and dried black cherry with a gentle wave of aguardente swirling early on. Less than a week ago, I had the 1963 Gould Campbell which showed better and more youthful than this bottle. That being said, this was still a very pretty 1966, loaded with sweet secondary characteristics of caramel, praline and kirsch flavors in a richly concentrated and ultra-smooth sensual sense. Surprisingly powerful tannins and seamless acidity provide balance, while the finish was warm, pleasant, rather simple, yet of good length. This was the group's overall second favorite Port of the night. Drink through 2028. 92 points
